Like the Vegan diet goal, I will really be extending myself on this one. I like food in general but some of my favorite foods include pasta, breads and pastries. All of these items will need substitutes during this week. The reason I am making this a goal is because I know a few people who have chosen to start a Gluten Free diet for personal healthy living (others have to be on a Gluten Free diet). Those that chose to make the switch have reported several areas where they felt healthier and better. So, I will try it for a week and see if I notice any changes.
This will actually be very tough. Whereas with the Vegan diet I can easily determine if I’m eating something from an animal or not, the Gluten Free diet will be much harder to plan out. I’m so used to eating foods that contain gluten, I am not really sure what I would and wouldn’t be able to eat unless I cheated and made it easy be eating out since they will have gluten-free options. I have had some of the gluten-free foods such as cupcakes and cookies and I am not a fan. But maybe I will get used to them.
I will be consulting my friends who live gluten-free and online information to accomplish this goal. If I know of the slightest amount of gluten entering my body, I will have to stop and restart a new week.
