I missed out on completing this goal before I turned 30 because I could never pull together the money for the trip and when I lost my job, it made things even harder. However, I still want to grab a flight and go.
These are two places in our wondrous country that I am looking to take my breath away. However, visiting both is time-consuming, requires extensive vacation time, is expensive and could take time away from accomplishing some of the other items on my list. Plus both are places I would like to visit with at least one friend. While I might only get one of these off my list by 40, I would eventually like to do both.
The Grand Canyon has been described as simply breath-taking by those I know who have visited. However, it is not just a place I want to visit. I want to experience it. I want to be able to see its expanse from the top and then hike and camp in the canyon to really get a feel for its breadth.
Yellowstone National Park is filled with so much beauty and wildlife which are two things that activate my soul. I have no plans other than to make it out there. Camp, RV, drive though, hike…it does not matter. I just want to be there.
