I have read a lot of books in my life time. Most of them are non-fiction books in the areas of counseling and Biblical study. When I have the chance to read fiction it usually one of the more popular books circulating at the time. And while I have read many classics, one I have failed to touch has beenĀ Pride and Prejudice. Which, is a shame. Because I have been told that if I want to understand women, I should be well versed in this book.
I won’t pretend that I understand the story yet. My only experience with the book is in the form of a movie called Bride and Prejudice. I can only assume that this movie, set in India, was a take on the book in a different culture. Other than that, I have learned that most romantic comedy movies attempt to emulate Pride and Prejudice in some way.
If so many women say this book seems to get their heart and mind, it would practical for every man to readĀ it as a guidebook of sorts I suppose. It is considered a classic for a reason so might as well set some time aside and journey through it.
