40 Things to Do Before 40
I was never really taught how to shave. I just sort of figured it out through trial and error. I don’t particularly enjoy shaving and only really shave once every two to three days unless there is a specific occasion because my face doesn’t like it either.
However, I have always been intrigued by the art of the straight razor shave. It is supposed to be the closest shave one can get but you rarely hear of anyone doing it on their own time and fewer and fewer barber shops seem to offer it. Recently I have seen a few men’s shops that are trying to bring back the art of the shave and have been pushing straight razor shaving products.
I would like to offer my jugular region to the hands of a skilled professional while they trim my whiskers. I would like to see if it is really a superior shave and if it is that much better, I would also like to learn how to do it myself.
